Starting in Taipei
This page is for those who are flying to Taiwan before 2/14. If you are Taiwanese/local, or are only planning to attend the main Wedding events on 2/14 and 2/15, you can skip this!

Traveling such a long way is no small feat, and we truly appreciate your time, effort, and love in being here to celebrate with us.
For those traveling from outside Taiwan, you’ll fly into TPE airport, which is actually located in Taoyuan, about 40 minutes from downtown Taipei.
There is so much to see, taste, and experience in the city, and it will be the perfect way to start the trip.

For your stay in Taipei (before the ceremony on the 14th and 15th), we suggest the following hotels close to the Xinyi district (where Jason and Jackie will be staying, around Taipei 101):
Hanns House – A stylish new hotel, offering a discounted rate ~$200 USD per night if booked early.
Humble House Taipei – under $200 USD per night if booked early!
Eslite Hotel– $250 USD per night
Le Méridien Taipei – A bit over $300 USD per night.
W Taipei – A modern, luxury option, over $400 USD per night.
As a reminder, you need to check out on 2/14/2025, as we'll be heading to the wedding venue that day and staying near the Sun Moon Lake that night. See the Schedule page for full instructions.

Visa: Many nationalities can enter Taiwan visa-free (including the US), but please check ahead of time if a visa is required for your stay.
Currency: The local currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD). A lot of places still use cash, but ATMs are widely available. Credit cards are accepted in most places.
Transportation: Taiwan’s public transportation is efficient and easy to navigate. We recommend using the MRT in Taipei for convenient city travel.
Language: Mandarin is the official language, but many people in Taipei speak basic English, especially in tourist areas.
Weather: February is typically mild in Taipei, but it will get chilly around the Sun Moon Lake in the evenings, so please bring jackets.
